Overview
As the Product Owner for A+E’s Agency File Management application, I led the design and development of a self-service platform that fully automated the generation and delivery of campaign performance files for agencies and advertisers. This solution was built in response to long-standing pain points within ad sales operations, where the manual creation, formatting, and distribution of files introduced delays, human error, and operational inefficiencies across the pre-air, in-flight, and post-campaign lifecycles.
Problem
Prior to this solution, Sales Ops, Finance, and Ad Operations teams spent dozens of hours weekly pulling raw campaign data, formatting Excel files, and sending them manually via email or FTP. Each agency had its own set of delivery requirements--varying by file type (pre-air, postlog, or final), content fields, and schedule--leading to inconsistent outputs, internal confusion, and frequent rework. Additionally, delays in file delivery affected agency reconciliation timelines, billing cycles, and client satisfaction.
Solution
I partnered with cross-functional teams to deliver a secure, configurable web application that enabled internal teams to:
Impact
The system continues to serve as a foundational part of A+E’s post-campaign delivery process and was a critical stepping stone in the network’s broader initiative to modernize advertising operations.

Solution
I partnered with cross-functional teams to deliver a secure, configurable web application that enabled internal teams to:
- Define agency-specific profiles including preferred fields, file formats (CSV, Excel), frequency, delivery method (FTP, email, download), and schedule
- Select campaigns or flight windows based on advertiser, network, and timeframe
- Generate standardized files for pre-air (planned spots), as-run/postlog (actualized spots), and final/reconciled reports, pulling directly from clean back-end campaign logs
- Preview, validate, and edit report parameters before dispatch
- Track delivery history, file status, and user activity via an audit log
Impact
- Automated over 90% of the file delivery process for agencies, replacing outdated manual workflows
- Reduced human error and rework by enforcing standardized output formats across hundreds of agency profiles
- Reclaimed hundreds of manual hours per quarter for Sales Ops and Finance, freeing time for higher-value activities
- Improved billing accuracy and reconciliation timelines, resulting in fewer agency disputes and accelerated revenue recognition
- Enabled internal users to respond to agency requests in real time without involving engineering or operations teams
The system continues to serve as a foundational part of A+E’s post-campaign delivery process and was a critical stepping stone in the network’s broader initiative to modernize advertising operations.
